THREE healthy snacks packed to go with you throughout the
day.
Holiday season means busy season for most people. Even
though our society is already constantly go, go, go, the holidays amplify that
even more. What that normally means?
Drive thru’s, cheap fast food, and upset tummies.
I know I can’t be the only one to feel the lead brick in my
stomach after eating a greasy meal because I was getting too hungry and
couldn’t wait to make sometime healthy at home.
My suggestion? When you do your grocery shopping for the
week plan for three healthy snacks that you can prepare ahead of time and take
with you on the go every single day so when that urge starts to hit, you have a
healthy option to reach for instead of having to turn to expensively cheap fast
food with no nutrition value.
Some of my favorites? Greek yogurt cups, raw nuts, raw
carrot sticks or raw bell pepper slices with hummus, cottage cheese with grapes
or pineapple, protein balls, plain apples and bananas, hard boiled eggs, cheese
sticks, and tiny tangerines (think Halo’s).
These snacks are really easy to prepare, and all it takes is
you putting it in your purse or a bag with a cooler pack and you’re good to go.
Prepack them all for the week so you can grab and go in the morning!
